2 Vehicle Accident on Hwy 71 south – Nov. 21, 2018

A two-vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 2 p.m. this afternoon south of Mena on US Hwy 71 has traffic blocked in both directions.  Emergency crews are currently on scene working to extract passengers.  Be prepared to stop and give the emergency crews room to work.  On scene are all local emergency response teams and law enforcement.

Mena man sentenced in federal court

A Mena man has been sentenced to over 11 years in federal prison for attempted online enticement of a minor. Fifty-three-year-old Kevin DeHart of Mena was sentenced Nov. 9 to 135 months in federal prison followed by five years of supervised release on one count of Attempted Online Enticement of a Minor. A wreck involving at least one school bus and a vehicle on US Hwy. 71 south of Potter has traffic backed up in both directions.
