Virginia enjoyed life and took everyday of life as it came. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sitting around telling jokes and having dinner with them. Virginia had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. She was so proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Virginia enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing and traveling. She was a member of the Old Potter Ladies’ Club and Red Hatties. She also enjoyed Polka and Big Band music as her Uncle Louie played in Lawrence Welk’s Band. Virginia was a loving mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Bill Medford.
Virginia is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law Bill Medford of Hot Springs, Mark and Kathy Medford of Mena, and David and Ginny Medford of Highland Village, Texas; one daughter Cynthia Medford of Mena; eight grandchildren Thorin Medford of Hot Springs, Chris Reid of Bella Vista, Ryan Reid of Fayetteville, Jack Medford of Fayetteville, Beau Medford of Springdale, Vanessa Medford of Hot Springs, Lisa Sick of Little Rock and Michael Medford of Highland Village, Texas; nine great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the White Oak Cemetery with Susie Mosley officiating under the direction of Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena. The family of Ms. Virginia received friends at the home for a time remembrance and visiting on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at 2610 Hensley Drive, Mena, Arkansas 71953. Arrangements were entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena.
Pallbearers were Thorin Medford, Ryan Reid, Jack Medford, Beau Medford, Jeffrey Sick and Michael Medford.
