Maurice “Greasy” Manasco

Maurice “Greasy” Manasco, Sr. age 84, of Cove, Arkansas passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 in Mena.

Maurice was born on October 16, 1933 to the late Thomas Jefferson “Jeff” Manasco and Julie Ann Davis Manasco in Cove, Arkansas. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War and was also active in the VFW. Maurice was a man who loved his family dearly and loved family gatherings. Above all he had a deep love for God and his church family and friends.  He was a loving, kind and a true friend to all. Maurice loved being a father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all. He will be dearly missed by all.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Jordan of Cove, Arkansas, son, Reese Manasco and wife Jeannette of Cove, Arkansas, his grandchildren Blake Hanney, Joshua Jordan, Kristen Manasco, Chance Manasco and Reeselyn Manasco, his great grandchildren, Jayce Berry, Analeigh Tarkinton, and Landon Hanney, brothers, Brice “Cottontop” Manasco, Tom “Tomcat” Manasco, and sisters, Laveda “Beasey” Tubbs, Inavay “Dugan” Ralls, Rosella “Baby” Brown, and Pat Merrill, mother of Tammy and Reese, numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Julie Manasco, sisters, Betty Jo “Jeanie” Snowden, Verna Mae “Trixie” Jamison, and Novella “Ninnie” Manasco, brothers, Leon “Koley” Manasco, James “Loop” Manasco, and Boyd Manasco.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Cove, Arkansas with Brother Ron Ladd officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Cove under the direction of the Beasley Wood Funeral of Mena.

Family and friends visitation will be Monday, February 19, 2018 at Beasley Wood from 6:30-8:30 p.m

Pallbearers will be Reese Manasco, Blake Hanney, Joshua Jordan, Chance Manasco, Mike Snowden and Kenneth Manasco.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joel Anderson, Larry Kesterson, Bruce Barton. and George Elliott.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cove First Baptist Church.
