Ouachita Regional Hospice will host their annual Chili super, Wednesday, February 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Serena Loyd said that this event is one that is truly helpful to families in need during a very difficult time during their lives. One-hundred percent of the donations received from the annual Chili Supper are kept within the ORH service area, and help customers with financial costs that arise outside of what is provided for by hospice care, or what is deemed non-medical.
These patients and their families sometimes find themselves in a very difficult situation due to los of income, or the financial stress that comes with difficulties unforeseen. The donations that we receive from the chili supper help us to give to these families the comfort that otherwise they would be forced to stress over during an already extremely difficult time. Last year the “Hope Promise Foundation,” which is a non-profit organization, filled nine requests for funding. That is all thanks to our communities donations.
For over five years this Chili Supper has continued to raise money for the Hospice Promise Foundation, and with your continued support this year will be the best ever. Delivery is available to all businesses in the Mena area and we hope to hear from you. You can call us this Wednesday, February 28th, from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. at (479) 349-1134 or fax your orders, if you are a business, to (479) 394-2056. The Meal includes a 12 oz. bowl of chili, cheese, corn chips, dessert, and a bottle of water.
