He was born June 1, 1946 in Blytheville, Arkansas, the son of the late Charles Raymond Lewis, Sr. and Ina Lance Lewis. He was owner and operator of Southwest Outdoor Power for the past 22 years and loved his work and the people he worked for and with. He was a dedicated family man, and spent 44 happy years married to his wife, Linda Hackney. Charles was a loving husband, brother, uncle and friend and will be greatly missed by those who loved and knew him.
He is survived by wife Linda Lewis of Mena, Arkansas; sisters Brenda Shelton Lewis of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Susan Snow of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brothers Jerry Lewis of Mena, Arkansas, Don Lewis of Mena, Arkansas; sister-in-Law Diana Miller and husband Jimmy of Mena, Arkansas; niece Michelle Cox and husband David; grand-nephew Cooper; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother Orven Lewis and his parents Charles and Ina Lewis.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 12, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Beasley-Wood Chapel with Brother Ron Tilley officiating. Interment follows in Pine Ridge Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday evening, May 11th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Mickey Goss, Gilbert Guess, L.J. Dugan, Jack Peebles, Daniel Lance and Gerald Lance.
