Flags Stolen on President’s Day

American Legion Vice Commander Billy Wood told Pulse Multi-Media that several US Flags were stolen in Mena on President’s Day. Wood said that on the last two occasions flags were put out that a total of six had been stolen from businesses in broad daylight. The theft of flags is being reported to the Mena Police Department. The American Legion asks that businesses keep an eye on the flags when they are on display and report anything suspicious to them or the police. Wood’s phone number is 479-234-1503. Theft and desecration of the US flag is a crime and punishable by both fines and imprisonment.
