Report from complainant on Polk 93 near Rocky of the fraudulent use of a credit card, totaling charges at $926.44.  Investigation continues.

Report of a disturbance on Polk 92 near Shady Grove. Deputy responded. Investigation continues.

Report from complainant on Dover Street in Hatfield of an unauthorized person in a residence. Investigation continues.

Report from complainant on Jones Lane near Mena of the theft of a weedeater, valued at $350.00. Investigation continues.

Report from complainant on Polk 76 East near Mena of the theft of equipment, valued at $160.00. Investigation continues.

Arrested by a trooper with the Arkansas State Police was Brandy R. Taylor, 26, of Hot Springs, on Charges of Possession of Meth or Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Criminal Impersonation 2nd Degree, and Obstructing Governmental Operations. Also arrested was Richard D. Clift, 47, of Hot Springs, on Charges of Failure to Maintain Lane, No Liability Insurance, Driving with a Suspended Driver’s License, Possession of Meth or Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Additionally arrested was Corey D. Bellamy, 42, of Hot Springs, on Charges of Possession of Meth or Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Arrested by an officer with the Drug Task Force was Santana E. Vaughn, 24, of Mena, on Charges of Delivery of Meth or Cocaine and Delivery of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance.

November 28, 2017

Report from a business on Polk 29 in Hatfield of the break-in and theft of checks, cash and firearms. Investigation continues.

Report from complainant of the theft of a piece of equipment led to a 14-year-old male being issued a Juvenile Citation for Theft of Property. The juvenile was released to the custody of a parent/guardian.

Report from complainant on Highway 375 West near Potter of the theft of a chainsaw, valued at $180.00. Investigation continues.

Arrested by an officer with the Drug Task Force was Elan M. McMillan, 19, of Mt. Ida, on a Charge of Delivery of Meth or Cocaine.

Report from complainant on Highway 375 West near Mena of the theft of $850.00. Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report from a Wickes woman of problems with her 14-year-old son. Deputies responded.

December 1, 2017

Arrested was William J. Hanselman, 60, of Mena, on a Warrant for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

Report from complainant on Highway 71 South in Cove of vandalism done to a bulldozer window, causing damages of $400.00. Investigation continues.

Report from a business on Highway 71 South in Cove of a hit-and-run accident. Deputy responded. Investigation continues.

Report of a disturbance led to a 16-year-old male being issued a Juvenile Citation for Disorderly Conduct. The juvenile was released to the custody of a parent/guardian.

December 2, 2017

Report from complainant on Polk 69 near Opal of the break-in and theft of three firearms, valued at $1,005.00. Investigation continues.

Report from complainants on Polk 41 South near Shady Grove of damage done to four mailboxes. Investigation continues.

Arrested was William Floyd, 55, of Cove, on a Warrant for Failure to Appear.

December 3, 2017

Arrested was Carl J. Madison, 32, of Glenwood, on a Warrant for Felony Failure to Appear.

Arrested was Katina Maples, 44, of Mena, on Charges of DWI and Driving Left of Center.

Arrested was Brannon D. Parnell, 22, of Gillham, on a Warrant for Assault 1st Degree.

Polk County Detention Center Jail Population: 21 Incarcerated Inmates, with 9 Inmates currently on the Waiting List for a State Facility.
