The roads in and around Mena will be thundering as an estimated 3,000 motorcyclists make their annual journey “home” to the Christian Motorcyclists Association’s (CMA) International Headquarters for the 38th Annual Changing of the Colors Rally this week, Wednesday through Saturday.
Missy Parmenter, National Events Coordinator for CMA encourages the community to attend, “Everything is open to the community. Registration is complimentary for Polk County residents who are not CMA members.”
Items to note, Parmenter said, are the Saturday 5K Fun Run/Walk that begins at 7:30 am at Mena Intermountain Airport. Registration will begin at 7:00 am.
Later that day will be the parade at 12:30 pm beginning at Iron Mountain and traveling to First National Bank main office across from HOG Country Cycle and will include a Drill Team precision motorcycle demonstration at 1:00 pm in the First National Bank parking lot.
Every evening at 7:00 pm, children ages 4-12 may participate in the “Kids for Christ” in the Iron Mountain Room (next to the playground) which will include puppets, singing, and fun biblical learning!
Students, ages 12-18, can join the Youth Movement in the Youth Pavilion. “Super Sessions for an incredible time of fun, worship, prayer, and learning! Special guest artist will be T Jones on Friday and then Saturday will be Talent Night with a Pizza Bash!”
Adults may join nightly revival services with times of worship, prayer, learning, along with plenty of fellowship.
