Vandervoort Elementary recently participated in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Pennies for Patients program. During a three-week period, students collected spare change to support LLS’s mission: To cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Vandervoort Elementary raised a total of $618.67. Mrs. Sexton’s 3rd grade was the top fundraising class and won a class pizza party.
