While there will be multiple activities throughout the county celebrating our Nation’s birthday, the oldest is still the largest as Vandervoort is poised to host 3,000 plus for its 125th annual 4th of July celebration! Continuing a century of tradition, this annual 3-day event has become an observed date for many family and school reunions. The event kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 3 with the annual pie & cake walk and continues with a variety of family activities and entertainment before concluding with its spectacular fireworks show at 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 5. For a complete schedule of this event and many others throughout the county, check out our online Calendar of Events:
