Four local firefighters have now earned their ARFF (Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting) certification after attending a week-long training in Jefferson City, Missouri, June 5 – 9.
Daniel Sanchez, Captain Duane Harvey, Captain Tom Hairston, and Seth Smith [ABOVE] dedicated 40 hours to classroom and practical training to earn the certification.
Mena Fire Chief John Puckett said the department will send another three firefighters in November. He commended the four men for their dedication to improve their skills to better serve their community, “They’re the future of the department.”
