
He was born in Meridian, Mississippi on February 4, 1946 to the late James Duke Watts, Sr. and the late Mary Jane Barnes Watts. He was lovingly married to Marsha Ann Strauss Watts and owned Vaughan Hardware Company. Duke served his country in the United States Marines and fought in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed camping and hiking with his sons. He was a loving and kind husband, father, and friend to all who knew him. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by wife, Marsha Watts of Mena, Arkansas; sons, James Duke Watts, III, of Tuttle, Oklahoma and William Michael Watts of Chesterfield, Missouri; and sister, Marellen Watts Struhar of Black Mountain, North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Jane Watts.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Pinecrest Memorial Park under the direction of the Beasley Wood Funeral Home of Mena. Visitation is general.
The family of Mr. James Duke Watts, Jr. would like to say thank-you for the loving care he received while in the Heritage Nursing Home in Hot Springs and Glenwood Nursing and Rehab in Glenwood.
