The Mena Lioness Lions presented a $1,000 check to the Mena Lions Club on Friday, August 19, during the Lions’ weekly meeting. The Lions Club was instrumental in the success of this year’s annual Lioness auction that was held at the Lion’s disc golf course. For their part, the Lioness made a donation to the men’s club. Lioness treasurer, Jolynn Vacca said, “We thank you for your wonderful help with the auction – for providing the venue, donating dishes, helping with the food, and much more.” The Lioness were able to raise $9,260 at the event that will benefit several local charities.
