With the November General Election being just over eight weeks away and early voting beginning October 24th, it’s time to make sure your information is current at the County Clerk’s office so that your voting process goes smoothly.
Polk County Clerk Teri Harrison suggests that if you have recently moved to a new address or have had a name change to go by or contact the County Clerk’s Office to update the information on your voter registration. If you have recently moved to Polk County and have not registered to vote yet, be sure to do that promptly.
October 10th will be the deadline for new registrations in order to be eligible to vote in the November Election.
Not only will the general election see a new U.S. President voted in, there will also be city, county, and state candidates on the ballot, as well as ballot issues. Look for more information on each of those categories in upcoming editions of The Pulse.
For more information, contact the Clerk’s Office at 479-394-8123 or visit their office inside the Polk County Courthouse.
