The Mena Police Department were dispatched to Mena Regional Health System Wednesday at approximately 1 p.m. after hospital employees discovered a deceased 53-year old female in her vehicle in the parking lot. Police, today, have released her identity as Donna Ryals, a hospital employee.
Detective Brandon Martin said shortly following the incident that she died from an apparent gunshot wound and her body has been sent to the crime lab. Officer Ed Gibson confirmed today that it is suspected to be self-inflicted but expects that the official report from the crime lab will be received in a week.
