The Mena Bearcat baseball team fell to the Curly Wolves of Prescott on Friday night, by a score of 12-6.
After one complete inning of play, the Bearcats led Prescott 5-4, but afterwards Mena seemed to fall apart. The Curly Wolves tied the game in the top of the third, and took a three run lead in the top of the sixth. Continuing to add onto their lead, Prescott scored four more runs in the seventh, making the score 12-5. In the bottom of the seventh, the Bearcats scored their final run, giving the Curly Wolves a six run, 12-6, victory.
On Friday night as well, the Mena Ladycats softball team swept Prescott in a doubleheader, by scores of 7-1 and 7-0.
The Bearcats will play their final home game of the season on Wednesday, April 19th, against Horatio, and finish off the season with two straight road games at Bismarck and Ashdown on April 20th and 21st.
The Ladycats played their final road game of the season on Tuesday at Nashville, and will take on Horatio, April 20th, and Ashdown, April 21st, for their final two games of the season at home.
