Covenant Ministries held a 5k fundraiser as part of the annual Jubilee in June Celebration on Saturday, June 24th, with runners and walkers making the trek through the scenic town area, with several hills making the course a little tough. Several participants entered to make the event a success that raised money to support Covenant House and the woman and children that seek their assistance.
The overall male winner, Clint Buck, came across the finish line in 19:03, with Joseph Looney crossing in 2nd, in a time of 21:11, and Trey Lunsford was 3rd overall male, crossing in 26:09.
Tina Bentley came in as the 1st overall female in 29:28, while Ashton Herod came 2nd in 30:26, and Sierra Bashear placed 3rd overall female in 30:47.
