The Mena High School Cross Country team competed in their first season meet at Caddo Hills High School in Norman on Saturday, September 21. This was the first time any of the three team members had competed in the sport. There was a total of 104 high school boys competing for the win in the 3.2 mile category. The course included a hilly terrain with surfaces on grass, dirt, and gravel. Clint Buck, a freshman at MHS, placed 23rd with a time of 21:03. Freshman William Scott and Junior Nathaniel Rhodes finished the race with unrecorded times. They travel to Clarksville on Saturday, September 28 for their next meet. MHS Cross Country is coached by Nathan Parnell.
