(ACORN) The Ouachita River School District announced on Monday, August 12th, its policy for providing free and reduced price meals for children served under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program.
Each school campus office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by any interested party. The price charged for a paid student breakfast is $1.00; the price charged for a paid student lunch is $1.95.
The household size and income criteria will be used to determine eligibility for free and reduced price benefits for School Year 2019-2020. Children from households whose income is at or below the levels in the tables are eligible for free or reduced price meals.
To review the income guidelines, you can view them in this week’s edition of The Polk County Pulse newspaper (see page 15), on newsstands this Wednesday; or by visiting The Polk County Pulse Facebook page. In addition, by contacting your respective school office.
