A 3-vehicle accident occurred Tuesday afternoon amid rainy conditions at the intersection of Dallas Avenue and Cherry Street that resulted in one injury.
According to the Mena Police report filed by Patrolman Norman Gray, at approximately 3:44, Joshua Wayne Broach, age 21 of Hatfield, was south bound on Cherry Street, driving a 2003 Dodge pickup, and was at a complete stop at the intersection of Dallas Avenue. Lauren Bollmeyer, age 20 of Mena, was north bound on Cherry Street and was stopped at the intersection with Dallas Avenue across from Broach.
Broach pulled out into the path of Bollmeyer’s 1992 Ford Mustang causing her to strike his passenger side. Both vehicles spun together causing Broach’s vehicle to hit the front of Jessie Wilson’s 2000 Chevrolet pickup who was east bound on Dallas Avenue approaching the intersection with Cherry Street.
Bollmeyer was injured in the accident and transported by ambulance to Mena Regional Health System for treatment.
The police report filed by Gray stated that Broach was at fault for the accident for Failure to Yield.
