In a celebration ceremony last, week Walmart Manager Scott Brown thanked the community for their support. He and former store manager, Chip Bentley, were presented with a plaque by Tony Hill, Market Manager, commemorating the event.
Walmart Associates have historically raised money for the Children’s Miracle Network. Brown challenged them to a new level this year and vowed to shave his head if they were able to raise $10,000 in a six-week period. Co-Manager Randy Stepp added to the incentive by vowing to dress as a hula girl. Lora Cross [center] headed the fundraising committee that succeeded in raising $10,240!
Brown presented a $1,000 grant to Tommy Young, Founder and Director of the Arkansas Native Plant & Wildlife Center.
