A single vehicle accident Wednesday night has claimed the life of Dion Ray Frost, on his 46th birthday. The accident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. last night, 7.2 miles east of Mena on Hwy 88.
According to the Preliminary Fatal Crash Summary filed by Arkansas State Trooper Tommy Stueart, Frost was driving his 2005 Dodge SRX westbound and drove off of the roadway, striking a tree. Stueart said there were no other vehicles involved, no passengers, and no witnesses and that stretch of road was straight with weather conditions being clear. It is ASP policy in all fatality accidents that a toxicology report be ordered.
Frost was pronounced deceased at the scene by Polk County Coroner Brian Bowser. His body has been entrusted to the Beasley Wood Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are pending at this time but will be announced at a later date.
