The Mena Lioness Lions Club was honored by the Mena Education Association as the Organization of the Year for their efforts in coordinating the fundraising campaign to fund the Backpack Program through The Rice Depot’s Adopt a School Food for Kids Program.
Patty Young was honored as the 2014 Volunteer of the Year by the Mena Education Association for her efforts in leading the campaign to fund the Backpack Program, her service on the Parent Advisory Committee and her volunteerism in numerous capacities.
These recipients are nominated by Mena Public School staff and then voted on. Pictured are (from left to right) Paulette Crawford (Mena Education Association), Janee Sweeney (Mena Lioness Lions President).
