The Mena Surgical Center welcomes Amy Phelps, MSN, APRN, AGACNP-BC to their orthopedic practice. Amy and her husband Chris have lived in Mena for the past 20 years while raising their two children, Hollee and Nick. Amy received her Bachelors’ of Science in Nursing from Arkansas Tech University in 1996, a Masters’ of Science in Nursing from Walden University in 2009, and recently received her Post Graduate Certificate as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and her Board Certification as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC)
Amy has been employed at Mena Regional Health System since 1997. She has 20 years of surgical nursing experience. For the past five years, she has served the hospital as the Director of Quality. During that time, she also served as an LPN nursing instructor at Rich Mountain Community college for seven years.
She is a member of Beta Sigma Phi and PEO Chapter CV in Mena and an avid Bearcat Football Supporter. She and her family are members of the First United Methodist Church in Mena.
She feels very passionate about providing quality care to the people in her community. “Amy will be a true asset to our medical team at the Mena Surgical Clinic.
