January 19, 2026

Deputies were dispatched to a report of a fire at a residence on Wright Lane near Hatfield.

Deputies responded to the report of a dog bite victim.

 

January 20, 2026

Deputies responded to a walk-in complainant in reference to a scam.

A traffic stop on Westmoreland Drive near Mena, led to the arrest of Bradley Trulock, 29, of Quinton, OK on charges of Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Governmental Operations, No Driver’s License, and No Proof of Insurance. Information has been forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney for further consideration.

 

January 21, 2026

Raphael Overturf, 20, of Hot Springs was arrested on a Failure to Appear Warrant.

Summer Sappington, 18, of Grannis was arrested by an officer with the Grannis Police Department on a charge of 3rd Degree Domestic Battery.

 

January 22, 2026

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Polk 42 near Mena in reference to a report of harassment. Information has been forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney for further consideration.

 

January 23, 2026

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Polk 21 near Cove in reference to a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was later located.

 

January 24, 2026

A traffic stop on Hwy 71 near Hatfield led to the arrest of Clinton Mahaffey, 41, of Hatfield on a charge of Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons.

An accident on Polk 50 near Mena led to Matthew Shelley of Mena being issued a citation for Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving Property Damage, Traveling too Fast for Conditions, and Careless and Prohibited Driving.

Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle accident on Polk 117 near Acorn.

 

January 25, 2026

Deputies responded to a residence on Polk 61 near Board Camp in reference to a welfare check.

 

Polk County Sheriff’s Office worked 1 vehicle accident this week.

Polk County Detention Center Jail Population: 39 Incarcerated Inmates with 5 Inmates currently on the Waiting List for a State Facility.
