The 39th Annual Street & Performance Queen Wilhelmina Rod Run was yet another success as street muscle cars cruised into Mena. The Mena/Polk County Chamber of Commerce hosted the Friday night Show ‘n Shine next to the Depot on Sherwood Avenue.
A rainbow of colors were displayed atop Rich Mountain as the annual event once again attracted car enthusiasts to Arkansas’ second highest-peak. It also marked the third year that the lodge has been closed for remodeling, adding to the list the thousands for the Queen’s re-opening slated for 2015.
The Mena Advertising & Promotion Commission hosted the Saturday night street dance held on South Mena Street as cars and people lined the heart of Mena to enjoy live music and dancing.
