(Submitted) The Mena High School Spotlight Singers will perform in Branson, Missouri on Saturday, March 16.

The auditioned ensemble will star as the opening act for the Legends in Concert show at Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater.  The Spotlight Singers will take the stage at 7:25 PM and will entertain the audience with a 30-minute program of a cappella music.

The Spotlight Singers recently participated in region choral performance assessment at Henderson State University where they earned Division I Superior ratings in Performance and Sight Reading.  Their superior scores qualified them for participation in the state choral performance assessment festival at UCA in Conway on April 12, 2019.  The Spotlight Singers are in a position to earn Sweepstakes and Best In Class titles at the state level.
The Spotlight Singers are:  Cassidy Ashcraft, Brooklyn Beck, Sumer Brown, April Burt, Cassidy Delaney, Hope Egger, Christina Gragg, Julia Martinez, Mackenzie McAllister, Hannah McDonald, Zoe McPherson, Ali Ogden, and Nalu Pruitt.  The ensemble is directed by Ferroll “Tammy” Taylor.
