Senior Behavioral Health has been selected as the Mena Regional Health System’s iCARE Star Department of the Quarter. The staff and providers have managed to provide compassionate care to a population with diverse behavioral problems, while maintaining high clinical outcomes, controlling financial costs and keeping employees engaged. During this quarter, the unit has had a very high volume of patients for an extended period of time, but delivered excellent care while maintaining dignity within a safe environment. Senior Behavioral Health demonstrated the concepts of integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence…all components of the iCARE program. In addition to the honor, the department received a Making the Difference traveling trophy, framed certificate displayed on the iCARE wall in the hospital and a pizza party.
