An Oklahoma man was fatally injured in an ATV accident on Thursday evening in the Board Camp area. A call was received by the Polk County 911 Dispatch Center at 8 p.m. that a possible fatal accident had occurred on Polk Road 61, approximately 1.7 miles east of the intersection of Polk Roads 61 and 612.
The driver was identified as David Dale Roberts, age 51, of Yukon, Oklahoma. According to a press release issued by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Roberts was pronounced deceased at the scene. The release also stated that, “A blood sample has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab to determine if alcohol was involved.”
Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, medics from Southwest EMS, and first responders from the Board Camp Fire Department all responded to the scene.
