CASA of the Ouachitas is having a fundraiser this weekend that you don’t want to miss. CASA is a foster child advocate group where volunteers spend their days making sure that foster children get the love and care they need.
CASA’s first annual Turkey Shoot is the perfect way to get your guns sited in for the upcoming hunting season, it’s fun competition for the whole family, and it will benefit foster children from Polk, Sevier, and Scott Counties. The event will take place at the 4-H Shooting Range, just north of DeQueen on Highway 71 on Saturday, October 10. Sign-in is at 8:30 a.m. and shooting will begin at 10 a.m.
There will be five divisions in the Turkey Shoot: .22 with scope, .22 without scope, high-powered rifle, high-powered handgun, and .22 handgun. The cost is $10 per division.
