
She was born January 2, 1924 to the late William Franklin Willis and the late Gertie Lou Agro Willis. She was united in marriage July 20, 1946 to Barney Brown. She was a member of the Salem Baptist Church. She was a loving, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors are children, Kaye Hunter and husband Doug of Mena, Arkansas and Andy Brown and wife Teena of Mena, Arkansas; grandchildren, Ray Hunter and wife Shannon of Mena, Arkansas, Matt Hunter and wife Kelly of Mena, Arkansas, Mark Hunter and wife Jamie of Farmington, Arkansas, Scott Brown and wife Randi of Mena, Arkansas, Angela McBee and husband James of Peoria, Arizona, Cole Brown and wife Stephanie of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Lacee Brown of Dallas, Texas; great-grandchildren, Annabeth and Hattie Hunter of Mena, Arkansas, Jack and Tate Hunter of Mena, Arkansas, Alex, Avery and Zoey Hunter of Mena, Arkansas, Nora and Lia Hunter of Farmington, Arkansas, Blake, Brenden and Brody Brown of Mena, Arkansas, Weston, Derek and Jason McBee of Peoria, Arizona, and Chanleigh Brown of Hot Springs, Arkansas; a host of special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Gertie Willis, her husband, Barney Brown, her brothers, Grady, Ira, and Wesley Willis and her sisters, Reathea Poston, Pauline Raines, Rudene Miller, Eva Lou Higgins, and Jean Vogel.
Funeral services were Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church with Brother Joe Cornelison and Brother Jack Schoeppey officiating. Interment followed in the Rocky Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
Visitation was Friday, October 30, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Mrs. Brown’s grandsons, Ray Hunter, Matt Hunter, Mark Hunter, Scott Brown, and Cole Brown, and a special nephew, Rick Higgins.
