Rich Mountain Community College’s Board of Trustees voted on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 to fill the position of outgoing Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Steve Rook who has taken a president position at College of the Ouachitas in Malvern.
The position will be split, as it was before Dr. Rook, into two positions – VP of Academic Affairs and VP of Student Affairs. The Board of Trustees voted to hire Dr. Krystal Thrailkill for the position of Vice President of Academic Affairs. Dr. Chad Fielding will take on the role of Vice President of Student Affairs.
RMCC President Dr. Phillip Wilson said the hiring of the two will be ‘expense neutral’ as Thrailkill is already part of the faculty at RMCC. Dr. Fielding has been employed at Henderson State University since 1997.
