Waldron began the first 20 minute half on their own 30 yard line. However, four plays later, the Bulldogs were facing a 4th down and 15 punted to the Mena 44 yard line.
On the Bearcats first play from scrimmage, Evan Graves raced 56 yards for a touchdown with 16:47 to go in the half. Austin Rose completed a two-point conversion pass to Ustin Kirkendoll to put Mena up 8-0.
With 6:55 to go in the half, Evan Graves scored again, this time going 65 yards for a touchdown. The two-point conversion failed, leaving the score Mena 14, Waldron 0.
The 7th grade Bulldogs got on the scoreboard with 2:07 to go in the half on a 5 yard touchdown run. The two-point conversion failed, making the score 14-6.
Austin Rose completed a pass to Travis Thrailkill for a 16 yard gain to open the second half. Three plays later, Rose met a wall of defenders on a quarterback keeper around the right end. He reversed field, picked up his blockers and scrambled 36 yards for a Mena touchdown with 17:24 to play. The two-point conversion was no good making the score Mena 22, Waldron 6.
The 7th grade Bulldogs marched 70 yards in 10 plays, scoring on a 30 yard running play. The two-point conversion was no good, leaving what turned out to be the final score at Mena 22, Waldron 12.
