
Brenda attended the Northside Church of Christ and taught Sunday school. She loved the Lord and went on mission trips to Honduras and Guatemala. Brenda spent thirty-eight years as an elementary teacher at Heritage Hall Elementary School in Edmond, Oklahoma, Sunray Elementary in Sunray, Texas, and Louise Durham Elementary in Mena. Her proudest accomplishment came last year when she received the Louise Durham Mena Public Schools Teacher of the Year for 2016. Nothing gave her more joy than her grandkids and seeing her students excel. Brenda liked to sew and crochet and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. Brenda was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Tim Robbins of Alder Springs, Arkansas; her son, Everett Robbins of Little Rock; two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Chris Wiles of Bigelow, Arkansas and Elizabeth and Adam Young of Sherwood; one brother, Bill Carter of Amarillo, Texas; five grandchildren, Hayden Wiles, Owen Wiles, Carter Young, Hunter Young, and Adelyn Kate Young; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Northside Church of Christ with Bob Young and Jeremy Jones officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Southern Christian Children’s Home, 100 West Harding Street, Morrilton, Arkansas 72110.
Pallbearers will be Tim Robbins, Chris Wiles, Adam Young, Will Robbins, Craig Williams, and Mark Robbins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Carter, H.A. Carter, Rocky Rexrode, Charles Wood, and Claude Webster.
