Deputies responded to a report of vehicle damage on Cearley Lane near Acorn.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Hwy 71 S near Mena in reference to an unattended death.

A traffic stop on Polk 298 near Mena led to the arrest of Floyd Knight, 44, of Mena on a charge of Public Intoxication and Gage Lambert, 35, of Mena on charges of DWI and Open Container.

Deputies responded to a walk-in complainant in reference to a scam.

A traffic stop on Hwy 71 near Potter led to the arrest of Rodney McQueen, 48, of Cove on a charge of Violation of a No Contact Order.

Deputies responded to Hwy 88 E near the county line in reference to a vehicle parked in the road leading to the arrest of Jonathan Paven-Rubio, 30, on charges of Disorderly Conduct, Refusal to Submit to Arrest, Public Intoxication, Open Container, and No Driver’s License.

Deputies responded to a walk-in complainant in reference to a scam.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Hwy 71 near Grannis in reference to a domestic battery leading to the arrest of Joseph Holmes, 41, of Mena on a charge of Drinking in Public.

Joy Reed, 38 , of Mena was arrested by an officer with Grannis Police Department on a Body Attachment Warrant.

 

August 2, 2026

A traffic stop on Hwy 88 E led to the arrest of Joseph Stubbs, 50, of Mena on a charge of Driving on a Suspended Driver’s License.

Deputies responded to the report of a stolen vehicle and a missing juvenile. The vehicle and the juvenile were later located.

 

Polk County Sheriff’s Office worked 3 vehicle accidents this week.
