
Wayne was born on September 2, 1947 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to the late Howard Edwin Johnson and Valeda Ellen Van Horn Johnson. He was married to Linda Smith Johnson. Wayne worked in the Waste Management business. Wayne enjoyed sub teaching, as he loved being around students. Also he loved being outdoors, riding his motorcycle, UTVS, and playing with his dogs. Wayne enjoyed RV’ing around the country seeing interesting places with family and friends. Most of all he dearly loved his family. He was a loving and kind husband, father, step-father, grandfather, brother.
He is survived by wife, Linda Johnson of Mena, Arkansas; son, Mike Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; step-sons, Robert Devoll of Zanesville, Ohio, Corey Devoll of Zanesville, Ohio; daughter, Erin Grimes of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jaxson, Raylee, Peighton, Katherine, and Caroline; brothers, Terry Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Rodger Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; pet children, Eli and Penny.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Valeda Johnson.
Celebration of Life service will be Friday, January 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mena First Assembly of God Church with Brother Ron Tilley officiating under the direction of Beasley Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
