September 17, 2013
Report from complainant on Polk 67 in the Opal community of the theft of scrap metal, valued at $344.97. Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.
Request for assistance from an officer with Probation/Parole led to the arrest of David L. Saxour, 42, of Vandervoort, on Charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons.
Request of a welfare check on a 14-year-old Mena female. Officer responded, found everyone to be okay.
Report of a disturbance on Polk 54 near Mena led to the arrest of Justin Dees, 26, of Mena, on a Warrant for Absconding.
Report from complainant on Polk 41 North near the Shady Grove community of the theft of a lawn mower. A 17-year-old Mena youth was issued a Juvenile Citation for Theft of Property. The mower was returned to the owner.

Report from an electric company employee of being dog bit while acting in official capacity. Owner was advised to quarantine the dog for ten days and to observe it for any changes.
Report from the Polk County Judge’s Office of a bridge on fire on Polk 41 South near the Potter community. Origin of the blaze is unknown.

Traffic stop on Mena Street led to the arrest of Joseph W. Bassett, 35, of Mena, on a Warrant for Failure to Pay Child Support.
Report from walk-in complainant of an alleged domestic battery. Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.
Arrested by an officer with the Grannis Police Department was Tera G. Whitten, 41, of North Little Rock, on a Warrant for Absconding and a McCurtain County, Oklahoma Warrant.
Also arrested was Michael Reed, 45, of Eagletown, OK, on a Warrant for Absconding and a McCurtain County, Oklahoma Warrant.
Arrested was Jeffery Sismore, 49, of Hodgen, OK, on a Charge of Public Intoxication.

Report from complainant on Polk 130 near the Rocky community of the possible theft of livestock, valued at $5,000.00. Investigation continues.
Report of a disruptive youth led to a 15-year-old Wickes male being issued a Juvenile Citation for Disorderly Conduct. The juvenile was released to a parent/guardian.
Report from complainant on Polk 661 near the Cherry Hill community of damage to a vehicle, caused by livestock, in the amount of $5,000.00. Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Arrested was David E. Delhaute, 51, of Cove, on Charges of Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Manufacture of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance and Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms.
Report from complainant on Highway 375 East near Mena of the theft of a weed eater, valued at $100.00. Arrested was Kadance C. Hooper, 21, of Mena, on a Warrant for Theft of Property.
Report from complainant on Polk 42 near the Potter community of the theft of a stereo, valued at $30.00. Investigation continues.

Report from a 13-year-old Mena female of an alleged domestic disturbance. Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.
Report from walk-in complainant of the theft of a vehicle, valued at $500.00. The vehicle was later found and returned to the owner.
Traffic stop on Highway 71 North in Mena led to the arrest of Clifford W. Bauman, 66, of Mena, on Charges of DWI, No Turn Signal and No Seatbelt.
Report from complainant on Jones Lane near Mena of problems regarding ownership of a mobile home. Officer advised both parties that issue was a civil matter.
Arrested was Jason T. Hoyle, 43, of Boles, on a Warrant for Failure to Pay Child Support.
Report from complainant on Owens Lane near Hatfield of damage to a vehicle caused by thrown gravel from another vehicle. The owner of the second vehicle agreed to pay for the damages.
Report from complainant on Wilkinson Lane near Hatfield of an assault. Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.
Report from complainant on Polk 181 near Mena of damage to a mailbox, totaling losses at $50.00. Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.
