James Aaron White 71 of Mena, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 in Mena.
He was born November 5, 1947 in Mena, Arkansas to the late Wilbur Walter White and the late Juanita Brown White. James was married to Phyllis Phillips White for 47 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He also was a farmer and a crucial part of the VFD at Cherry Hill. He was a very outgoing person who loved to hunt, fish and spend time with grandchildren. James was an excellent role model for family and friends. He enjoyed serving his community and above all he loved his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. He will dearly be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis White of Mena, Arkansas; sons: Jamie White and wife Lorene of Mena, Arkansas, Aaron White of Mena, Arkansas; grandchildren: Alissa and Michael White, Haley White, Cody and Chelsee Shores, and Breanna White; five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a great-granddaughter, Bexley White.
Funeral service will be Friday, February 1, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at Beasley Wood Chapel with Brother Boots Donaldson officiating.
Family and friends visitation will be Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Beasley Wood from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
