On Tuesday, October 22nd at about 1515 hours, the Mena Police Department arrested 33-year-old Joshua Fernandez on a warrant. At the time of the arrest, Joshua Fernandez was in possession of $46,321.00 dollars in cash. With the assistance of the US Secret Service, and after contacting the New Orleans Police Department, we discovered that Joshua Fernandez was being sought by NOPD for Larceny. We learned that Joshua Fernandez had been involved in a burglary in New Orleans and a warrant had been requested. After receiving a copy of the NOPD offense report, a hold was placed on Joshua Fernandez. He is currently being held in the Polk County Jail pending extradition.
