The 4th Annual Mena Middle School Family Fall Festival was held on November 5, 2013. Despite the rainy weather TEAM MENA came out in numbers to enjoy an evening of free food and fun for all the families of Mena Middle School Students.
Families participated in a pie eating contest, FFA roping contest and face painting, FBLA Soda Pop Walk, Dallas Avenue slide. FCCLA hosted a Charity silent auction. There were also booths by Polk County Department of Human Services, Rich Mountain Community College, DeQueen Mena Educational Co-op, University of Arkansas Extension Service, 4-H, Mena Police Department, Healthy Connections, and Western Arkansas Counseling and Guidance.
Refreshments were provided by the Union Bank of Mena, Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Dallas Avenue Baptist Church, Papa’s, Mena Middle School B.A.D.D Team, and Healthy Connections.
Theme Basket Bash was back again this year, put on by the faculty and families with the help of many contributors from the community. Winners of the baskets were: Camping- Telissa Montgomery, Bearcat- Robin Ponder, “A New You” Nelda Doyal, Kitchen- Lyle Wilson, FCCLA Cooking- George Mun.
