The area got its first taste of winter precipitation for the season on Sunday. This picture taken near Queen Wilhelmina by Janette Bernard shows the ice already accumulating in the trees during the afternoon hours.

According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 3 p.m. with additional sleet and freezing rain of up to one inch possible.
