Fourth- eighth grade GT students participated in the annual National Geographic Bee on Monday, January 13th . Thousands of schools across the United States and in the five U.S. territories, as well as the U.S. Department of Defense Schools around the world, are involved in this bee. It is sponsored by Google this year.The winner of the bee, an eighth grader, Dakota Odom will advance to the next level of competition, a written examination to determine state competitors. All school winners are eligible to win the national championship and its first prize, a $50,000 college scholarship, at the national competition in May.
