Several area churches are coming together this Sunday for an event meant to glorify God through worship. OneNight, as it is called, will be held at The Crossing on North Main Street, Sunday, March 6th, at 6:30 p.m.
The community-wide event will consist of praise and worship hosted by members of Christ Community Fellowship, Grace Bible, Hatfield Penuel Assembly of God, Mena First Assembly of God, the Remodel Church in Grannis, and The Crossing. Members of each congregation will take part in worship services.
Organizer James Kelley said, “That’s what is so exciting about the event, the diversity of all these denominations coming together to worship together. I think it’s going to be pretty powerful.”
Kelley said the event was the brain child of Heath Bradley. “It was his idea and he’s had on his heart to do for a while. He wanted to bring churches together and worship teams together, all for the same purpose, to praise God.”
The event will feature non-stop live music and prayer focuses led by pastors. “Our hope is to be able to do this on a continual basis, more than once a year, maybe every quarter or every month. We want to see if this works and to figure out what worked or didn’t and add to that,” Kelley explained.
He said the event should last until around 8 p.m. and there will be childcare available during the services. Everyone of all denominations and ages are welcome to attend the free event. For more information, contact 394-7600 or check them out on Facebook at OneNight Worship.
