Barracudas Prove to be Savage Competition in Magnolia

The Mena Barracudas traveled to Magnolia on Saturday, June 27^th, for a swim meet. Thirteen swimmers went and brought home a 5^th place team finish out of 10 teams.

Jaeli Fields competed in the 8 & under division and placed 5^th in 25 meter freestyle and 2^nd in 100 meter individual medley. 8 & under boys swimmer Brenden Ricker, competed in the 10 & under division and placed 6^th in the 50 meter backstroke, 1^st in the 50 meter breaststroke, and 1^st in 100 meter individual medley.

In 10 & under girls, Ranessa Ricker placed 3^rd in 50 meter butterfly, 4^th in 50 meter breaststroke, 4^th in 50 meter freestyle, and 3^rd in 100 meter individual medley. Abbey Nanle placed 5^th in the 50 meter backstroke, 2^nd in 50 meter breaststroke, 5^th in 50 meter freestyle, and 5^th in 100 meter individual.

12 & under girls saw Allison Bates place 2^nd in 50 meter butterfly, 6^th in 50 meter backstroke, 4^th in 50 meter freestyle, and 5^th in 100 meter individual medley.

Katy Caldwell competed in the 14 & under girls division and placed 6^th in the 50 meter butterfly, 8^th in 50 meter backstroke, and 3^rd in 50 meter breaststroke. Emiley Sorge placed 3^rd in 100 meter backstroke, 3^rd in 100 meter freestyle, 1^st in 50 meter freestyle, and 3^rd in 200 meter freestyle.

In the boys 14 & under, Ian Garrett placed 4^th in 50 meter butterfly, 1^st in 50 meter breaststroke, 5^th in 100 meter freestyle, and 4^th in 50 meter freestyle. Matthew Nance placed 5^th in 50 meter backstroke, 6^th in 50 meter breaststroke, and 2^nd in 100 meter individual medley.

In the senior girls division, McKinzey McGee placed 8^th in 100 meter backstroke, 3^rd in 100 meter breaststroke, 8^th in 100 meter freestyle, and 6^th in 50 meter freestyle. Lilly Garrett placed 3^rd in 100 meter breaststroke, 5^th in 100 meter freestyle, and 3^rd in 50 meter freestyle.

In the senior boys division, Mac Caldwell placed 5^th in 100 meter backstroke, 4^th in 100 meter freestyle, and 1^st in 50 meter freestyle. Brad Bates placed 1^st in 100 meter butterfly, 6^th in 100 meter breaststroke, 5^th in 100 meter freestyle, and 2^nd in 200 meter freestyle.

In relays, Emiley, Katy, and Allison stepped-up to the senior division with McKinzey to place 2^nd in senior girls medley relay. Jaeli, Ranessa, and Abbey stepped-up to the 12 & under girls with Allison to place 4^th in freestyle relay. Katy, Emiley, Lilly, and McKinzey placed 2^nd in senior girls freestyle relay. Matthew, Ian, Mac, and Brad placed 1^st in senior boys freestyle relay.
