
Bettie was born on July 21, 1937 in Zafra, Oklahoma to Theodore Chatham and Grace Sitton Chatham. She was a loving homemaker. Bettie was an avid quilter and award winning crocheter. She enjoyed growing flowers and gardening. Bettie was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all. She will be dearly missed.
Bettie is survived by son, James Gentry of Mena, Arkansas; daughter, Liz Strother and husband Ronnie of Mena, Arkansas; grandchildren, Joshua Huff and wife Chrissea of Muldrow, Oklahoma, Amanda Eubanks and husband Brent of Little Rock, Arkansas, Andrea Hopkins and husband Marcus of North Little Rock, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Hailey Huff, Sydnee, Hayden and Ella Kate Curry, Hattie Hopkins; and brother, Glen Parnell.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband, Louis Gentry, daughter, Cathy Huff, brothers, Earl, Marlin, and Dale Chatham, half-brother, Joe Myers, and a sister, Mary Jo Page Johnson.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, November 7, 2017, 10:00 a.m. with Brother Daryl Hines officiating at Concord Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
