
He was born August 20, 1959 in Pittsburg, Texas to John Franklin Ashley and Peggy Williams Ashley. He was married to Lynn Wood Ashley and worked in the Construction business as a Superintendent for many years. Cotton loved to hunt and fish and spend time with family and friends. He was an amazing craftsman, who could build or fix almost anything someone wanted or needed. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend to all who knew him. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by wife, Lynn Ashley of Mena, Arkansas; children, Lake J. Ashley of Mena, Arkansas, Morgan Elizabeth Ashley of Mena, Arkansas; parents, John and Peggy Ashley of Ore City, Texas; father-in-law: Bill Wood of Mena, Arkansas; brothers, John Ross Ashley of Avinger, Texas, Bret Ashley and wife Tedra of Thompsons Station, Tennessee; sister, Carla Olden of Titusville, Florida.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 14, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. at First Methodist Church in Mena. Interment will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Park under the direction of the Beasley Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
Family and friends visitation will be Wednesday, May 13, 2015, 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Beasley Wood Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Scotty Brown, Billy Blankenchip, Randall Powell, Bob Bowen, Brian Kesterson, and Mike Cuevas.
