The 2016 November General Election is quickly approaching and the deadline to register in time to cast your ballot in the election is Monday, October 10th. Citizens can register to vote at the Polk County Clerk’s office, located inside the Courthouse, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Polk County Clerk Terri Harrison said citizens have until Tuesday, November 8, 2016, to update addresses or polling stations.
Absentee ballots are currently being mailed out to those who live out of town. If you would like to request an absentee ballot, contact the County Clerk’s Office. For those who wish to pick up their absentee ballot as opposed to being mailed, those will be available beginning October 24th.
