Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Polk 193 near Cherry Hill in reference to an unattended death.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Hatton Lane near Cove in reference to a physical domestic altercation. Information has been forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney for further consideration.

Deputies responded to a report of a violation of an order of protection.

 

September 23, 2025

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Seay Lane near Mena in reference to an unattended death.

Alice Gilley, 45, of Mena was arrested on three warrants for Violation of the Arkansas Hot Check Law.

Deputies responded to a residence on Polk 164 near Mena in reference to a property dispute.

 

September 24, 2025

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Hwy 270 near Acorn in reference to an unattended death.

Jennifer Johnson, 47, of Pencil Bluff was arrested by an officer with the Grannis Police Department on warrants for Intent to Defraud a Drug or Alcohol Screening Test and Probation Violation.

Brian Richardson, 31, of Grannis was arrested by an officer with the Grannis Police Department on a charge of 3rd Degree Domestic Battery.

 

September 25, 2025

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Polk 54 near Mena in reference to stolen property.

Benny Anderson, 52, of Mena was arrested by an officer with the Arkansas State Police on a charge of Public Intoxication.

Deputies were dispatched to a business on Hwy 71 S near Mena in reference to a downed power line.

 

September 26, 2025

Michael Creel, 39, of Mena was arrested on a charge of Public Intoxication and a Bond Revocation.

Deputies responded to a report of a missing juvenile. The juvenile was later located.

Deputies were dispatched to an address on Polk 171 near Mena in reference to a property dispute leading to the arrest of Brandy Gallop, 46, of Mena on a charge of Violation of an Order of Protection. Information has been forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney for further consideration.

 

September 27, 2025

Darrin Cannon, 57, of Mena was arrested on a warrant for Possession of Firearm by Certain Persons, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Jack Cannon, 31, of Mena was arrested on a warrant for Possession of Firearm by Certain Persons, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Defaced Firearm, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Greg Brewer, 56, of Mena was arrested on a Failure to Appear Warrant.

 

September 28, 2025

Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle parked along Hwy 270 near Acorn leading to the arrest of Dayven Breeden, 19, of Mena on charges of DWI, Careless and Prohibited Driving, and No Driver’s License.

Deanna Ayres, 51, of Mena was arrested on a Failure to Appear Warrant.

 

Polk County Sheriff’s Office worked 1 vehicle accident this week.
