The Arkansas PGA Junior Golf Tour Tournament was hosted in Little Rock on July 27th and two Bearcat golfers showcased their skills. Daniel Davis and Austin Johnston, both members of the Bearcat Golf team, competed in Little Rock as a part of the 2017 Arkansas PGA Junior Tour. Golfers eligible for the event were those 19 and under.
After a day of competition, both Davis and Johnston finished near the top of their respective divisions. Davis came in 1st place in the 16-18 age division with a score of 77. Johnston placed 3rd in the 14-15 age division with a score of 76. As a result, both athletes qualified for Regionals in Muskogee Oklahoma.
Once again Davis and Johnston competed well and both were close to winning their respective divisions. Davis finished 2nd placed in the boys 16-18 age division with a total score of 147, shooting a 73 on day one and a 74 on day two. Johnston battled for 3rd place in the 14-15 division with a total score of 146, shooting a 77 on day one and a 66 on day two.
