An 18-wheeler had Hwy 375 blocked for several hours Wednesday morning when he hung his trailer attempting to maneuver a sharp curve approximately a half-mile past the Wolf Pen Gap trailhead.
The driver of the truck dumped the trailer there leaving much of the highway blocked and creating a very hazardous situation. This photo was taken at approximately 8:30 a.m. and illustrates no guardrail in place either.
Area residents said this is becoming an all too common occurrence. This is the same site where another 18-wheeler rolled off in May of this year. Drivers blame faulty navigation received through GPS.
Officials said that they have made numerous attempts with no success to the Arkansas State Highway Department to have caution signs warning drivers of maximum truck/trailer lengths to maneuver the curves ahead.
